Anti-Stick Sidewall Conveyor Belt for Deep-Shaft Tunnel Muck Conveying
Anti Stick sidewall conveyor belt Solves Sticky Muck Carry back on Deep Shaft Hydropower Tunnel
Project Challenge
This hydropower diversion work in the Pearl River Delta features deep shafts ranging from 50 m to 80 m. Excavated material is clay heavy spoil with high moisture and strong surface adhesion.
Even fitted with beaters and high pressure water rinse setups, conventional steep angle sidewall conveyor belts failed to clear sticky residues thoroughly. Material carry back was severe along the return run. Loose muck falling from considerable heights inside shafts posed serious safety hazards to underground workers and machinery, while lowering overall conveyor output.
Custom Built Anti Sticky Solution
For Section C1 of this diversion project, we delivered our heavy duty anti sticksidewall conveyor belt. Sidewalls and cleats are made with our proprietary anti stick compound using imported raw materials, specially tuned for the region’s damp, sticky ground conditions. This formulation enables ongoing self cleaning during belt operation and greatly reduces spoil sticking. A patented split type structure is implemented in part of the line to support return side cleaning and deliver better overall performance.
Real World Site Results
- Noticeable drop in muck carry back and dangerous falling debris inside deep shafts
- Reliable discharge quality and steady conveying output achieved for deep shaft spoil removal
- This anti stick sidewallconveyor belt has been tested across multiple shaft tunnel jobs within the Pearl River Delta and earned positive feedback from local contractors.
Key Takeaway
Standard scrapers and water sprays cannot handle heavily adhesive tunnel spoil effectively. Our anti sticky sidewall conveyor belt offers robust self cleaning performance, addressing core safety and efficiency pain points for deep shaft tunneling muck handling.
