Our flat pulley lagging (cold bond type) is a popular rubber lagging solution for conveyor system drums and pulleys. Built with a special CN bonding layer, this cold bond pulley lagging cuts out hot vulcanization and surface buffing work during installation. It is a more eco friendly alternative versus traditional hot vulcanized pulley lagging.
Pair this flat rubber lagging with our QMH cold bonding glue range, you will get steady bonding performance and greatly extended service life. For end user sites, the service life of pulleys fitted with our cold bond flat lagging can be boosted over 3 times compared with unlagged pulleys.
On site installation is one of its biggest strengths. Technicians can finish lagging work directly on location, no need to ship pulleys back to workshop. It cuts down system downtime, lowers site workload, and brings better work efficiency for your conveyor maintenance projects.

Cold Bond VS Hot Vulcanizing Pulley Lagging
| Cold Bond Pulley Lagging | Hot Vulcanizing Pulley Lagging |
| Complete on site installation, no pulley disassembly & removal from conveyor frame | Lagging replacement & installation must be completed inside factory workshop |
| No need for extra heavy vulcanizing equipment investment | Requires dedicated hot vulcanization equipment & supporting tooling |
| Bonding performance is subject to site ambient factors: temperature, humidity, plus field operator practical skills | Bonding strength stays stable, barely influenced by on site temperature and humidity changes |
| Shorter conveyor downtime, lower overall site operating cost | Longer system shutdown time, higher total operating & handling cost |
Q1: Do I need to remove the pulley from the conveyor frame for cold bond flat pulley lagging?
A: Normally no. Our cold bond flat pulley lagging supports on site wrapping without pulling the pulley off the machine. It is ideal for quick maintenance. Note: Heavily damaged pulley surfaces need basic cleaning before lagging application.
Q2: What glue should I use for this cold bond pulley lagging?
A: We highly recommend matching our QMH cold bonding glue series. Matched glue ensures reliable bonding strength and longer working life. Third party unmatched adhesive may cause early lagging peeling.
Q3: Can I get patterned surface other than plain flat rubber?
A: Yes. Using the QMH engraving machine, we can engrave diamond, herringbone and other custom patterns onto flat rubber lagging sheets. Patterned lagging further improves anti slip performance and drains away stuck material.
Q4: What environment limits cold bond pulley lagging performance?
A: Field temperature and humidity will have real impact on bonding effect. Avoid construction work under extremely low temperature or heavy damp condition. Follow our site operation guidance for best results.
Q5: Which conveyor systems fit this flat cold bond lagging?
A: It fits medium and high tension conveyor pulleys, also works for bend pulleys. For ultra high tension heavy load working conditions, please send over your conveyor parameters for our technical review.
Q6: How much service life improvement can I expect?
A: Under normal operating conditions, well installed cold bond flat pulley lagging can extend pulley service life by more than 3 times compared with bare metal pulleys. Actual service life varies based on material type, load and site working environment.
